I loved this project of making videos. It was so easy. This would be so easy and fun to implement into the classroom. I'm doing ECE, but those young kids can enjoy this video experience too. I'm not sure that young children could do all of the technique computer parts of the video making process, but they can definitely be involved in drawing or taking pictures and using the recorded voices. It might be best if the teacher then puts the whole video together for the class. This project was lots of fun. I'm definitely going to use it.

TPACK

TPACK stands for Technological Pedagogical and Content Knowledge. This means that a teacher is incorporating their understanding of content, using effective teaching skills and strategies, and using technology to teach a lesson. All of these aspects of TPACK can be used individually, but in order to have a successful experience, all three need to be in place.

Designing a Website

I learned a great deal from designing my own mini website. Before, I thought that websites were so hi-tech and complex, that only computer genuises could do it. I was really suprised to learn that it's not that complicated. I learned how easy it is to embed photos, maps, videos, etc onto my website. I got a little overwhelmed about trying to embed my picture onto my website, but when I finally got it down, I had to laugh at how easy it was. I'm really excited about all of the new tools I'm learning.

Technology Experience

My experience with technology is very limited. I have a laptop and use it to type papers, check email, and surf the net occasionally. If I have any questions whatsoever I ask my husband because he knows just about everything about computers.
